About our company & products
What is behind Tinker's Emporium? Well let me enlighten you....
I am a woman who lives in the South of the UK, I have lived here for over 10 years after emigrating from California. I was Born in Los Angeles but then went on to live in Belfast at the age of 2 years old upon my mother and biological fathers divorce till I was aged 6.
My way of learning about the world as a child was through hands-on exploration. I would constantly tinker with objects, driven by a desire to understand their mechanics by taking them apart and reassembling them in a working order. My father, witnessing this, nicknamed me Tinks/Tinker a name that has become a part of my identity. It is also a name that carries a lot of those early memories.
My heart finds joy in the reclaiming of once-beloved oil and carriage lamps, rekindling their light so they may be treasured for a considerably greater duration.

The ethos behind Tinkers Emporium
At Tinkers Emporium we are of the belief that in today's societies it is important to reduce our waste, reuse many things and just be kinder to the enviroment and communities. So we do what we say: We reclaim oil lamps, pressure lamps and pressure stoves and make them as close to new as possible. We reclaim antiques and collectables, clean them up where need to then be loved again in your home. Our new products are sourced from a responsible wholesaler who design 50%+ of their products and have them made in small communities so they thrive and can live the better life they want.
